what if the dvds belong to me and i want to put them onto my computer?

Buying the DVD is an investment and if you want to protect that investment buy backing it up on the computer there should be nothing wrong with that.brAs long as you dont distribute the contents of the DVD, I dont see any law breaking.brYou might want to look into the fair use law.
